BUTTERWORTH: Security guard Izzat Hafiz Mohd Saad, who was wounded during a heist at a goldsmith outlet in Tesco Extra here yesterday, wants to quit his job.
However, the 27-year-old from Kuala Ketil, Kedah, said he would have to continue working as a guard should he fail to land a new job.
A shocked and bitter Izzat Hafiz said he did not ever want to experience such a painful moment.
Speaking from his bed at the Seberang Jaya Hospital, Izzat Hafiz said minutes before the robbery two of the robbers had walked passed the outlet.
“I did not suspect anything amiss until they returned and one of them suddenly whipped out a pistol, pointing in my direction.”
“They forced me to surrender my pump gun and the armed robber fired a shot, hitting my left toe,” he said.
They then forced him to lie down before firing another shot at his left thigh.
“The pain was unbearable and moments later I felt dizzy but I could still hear many more gunshots after that.
“I thought I was going to die at the very moment,” he said.
Izzat Hafiz said when the suspects fled, he saw two men lying on the ground before he himself fell unconscious. To read the full story please visit the following link;
